Along with many works in Gwalior region, various places in the state have received gifts worth Rs 19 thousand crores.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the land of Gwalior region, which has given many revolutionaries to the country, is a place of inspiration. Here the patriots sacrificed themselves to protect the nation. About 2.25 lakh beneficiaries from this land have got the good fortune of entering the house before Diwali and Dhanteras. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that many employment opportunities will open for the youth. India is becoming a power in the world. Soon India will be among the first three economies of the world.

Getting a house as per your dreams

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Central Government has ensured the welfare of the people in every sector. About four crore people have got their homes. In Madhya Pradesh too, lakhs of people have got the opportunity to fulfill their dream of owning a house. The important thing in housing construction is that the beneficiary has got the opportunity to build a house as per his dreams. As the construction of the house gets completed, the amount is deposited into the beneficiary’s account. Along with these houses, the benefits of toilet facility, electricity and Ujjwala gas connection and tap water are also being provided. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, houses are being registered mostly in the names of women. It is expected that after coming to these homes all the families will educate the children and teach them skills.

Not only this, today the inauguration of the work of Sumavali Broad Gauge from Gwalior, laying the foundation stone of 50 bedded Critical Health Care Health Block in Medical College, Gwalior is also important.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today the foundation stone of new schemes and inauguration of completed works is taking place in Gwalior region as well as in many places across the state. While Vikrampuri Industrial Township has been inaugurated in Ujjain, the foundation stone of Multi Model Logistics Park in Indore has also been laid. Inauguration of 244 km long route under Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, inauguration of Malanpur Bottling Plant of Indian Oil Corporation and inauguration of additional services at Ratlam Terminal of Indian Oil Corporation are important. Among the road projects, Bhoomi Pujan has also taken place for the works of Raghavgarh-Indore-Harda, Bankaner Ghat construction, Jirapur-Pachor, Ashta Bypass and Khilchipur Bypass. Along with this, students will benefit from the inauguration of the academic building of IIT Indore along with the laying of the foundation stone of the hostel building and lab complex. Prime Minister Shri Modi described the Bhoomi Pujan of Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Gwalior and Sheopur districts as an important gift for this region.

New work in health sector

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Bhoomi Pujan has been done to build Critical Care Health Blocks with 50 bed capacity in Betul, Katni, Burhanpur, Narsinghpur, Damoh, Agar-Malwa and Shajapur including Vidisha Medical College of the state. Citizens will get more facilities in the health sector.

Ken-Betwa project costing Rs 44 thousand crore, which will give a new direction to the development of the state, has been approved. The Prime Minister has paid special attention to the welfare of the poor. More than 35 lakh houses have been constructed under the housing scheme in Madhya Pradesh. In the state, needy people are being made owners by giving them land leases. In Madhya Pradesh, tap water facilities have been provided to 65 lakh families so that dear sisters do not have to go far from home to fetch water. This facility will be available in all houses in the next one and a half years. Madhya Pradesh is moving rapidly on the path of development. Madhya Pradesh is no longer sick and backward.

Memu train flagged off from Gwalior to Sumavali

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the MEMU train from Gwalior to Sumavali by flagging off the program organized at the fair grounds of the historical city of Gwalior. As soon as Prime Minister Shri Modi showed the green flag, the train left for Sumavali from Gwalior Railway Station. This new railway, approximately 48 kilometers long, has been constructed at a cost of Rs 411 crore. This railway line is a part of the broad gauge railway line under construction from Gwalior to Sheopur.

Chief Minister Chauhan presented a miniature statue of Tansen and Chiteravali painting to Prime Minister Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the holy land of Gwalior, the holy place of Rishi Galav. He handed over the statue of music emperor Tansen and a colorful painting of the famous Maratha style Chiteravali painting of Gwalior to Prime Minister Shri Modi. The statue of Tansen has been created by the famous sculptor of Gwalior, Shri Deepak Verma. Chiteravali paintings are mainly painted by people in their homes on auspicious occasions. This art is considered to have started from the year 1657 and this art is still depicted in Motimahal in Gwalior, which was painted in the year 1757 AD.
