Jaipur, India : Around 1 lakh retired and working in-charge personnel of the state have got a big gift in the festive season. Now such personnel will come under the category of regular employees of the state government. They from February 17, 1995, will get opportunities for promotion and suitable new designations as per the dignity of work.
A sensitive decision was taken in this regard in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his official residence on Sunday. In this meeting, amendment to the new designations and promotion posts of the in-charge personnel in subordinate service rules of Public Health Engineering, Public Works, Water Resources and Forest department were approved.
Sensitive decision brought cheers
In-charge personnel not getting promotion for almost 28 years were retiring from their initial appointment (guards, cleaners, resthouse keepers etc.) Now coming under the ambit of departmental service rules, they will be given suitable new designation and promotion. It is to be mentioned that they have not got promotion since 1995.
Announcement made in the budget 2023-24
The Chief Minister in the budget 2023-24 had made an announcement in this regard. Besides this, the state government has been issued the guidelines to amend the pay scale rules and subordinate service rules by determining the new designation and promotion post of the personnel.
The draft of rules got approval
The cabinet approved the draft of the Rajasthan Forest Subordinate Service (Amended) Rules-2023, Rajasthan Subordinate Engineering (Building and Roads Branch) Service Rules-1973, Rajasthan Engineering Subordinate Service (Irrigation Branch) (Amended) Rules-2023 and Rajasthan Engineering Subordinate Service (Public Health Branch) (Amended) Rules-2023.
