Nominations will be received from today, 5447 polling personnel put on duty for voting

Sehore, India : According to the notification issued by the Election Commission of India, the process of submitting nomination papers of the candidates contesting the elections will be started from October 21. All necessary preparations have been completed to receive nomination papers in the returning offices of the four assembly constituencies. Collector and District Election Officer Shri Praveen Singh has instructed all the returning officers to ensure that they follow the guidelines issued by the Commission for obtaining nomination papers. Nominations from candidates will be received till 30 October 2023 at 03 pm. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on 31 October 2023 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed at 03 pm on 02 November 2023.

The deposit amount for the candidates contesting the elections will be Rs 10 thousand and for ST and SC the deposit amount will be Rs 5 thousand.

Candidates contesting assembly elections will have a separate bank account for their election expenses. The maximum expenditure limit for elections is Rs 40 lakh. For candidates contesting elections, the deposit amount is Rs 10,000 and for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category, the deposit amount is Rs 5,000.

One proposer will be required for nationally recognized parties and 10 proposers will be required for the rest. The age of the candidate must be 25 years as on the date of scrutiny. The candidate can be a voter of any assembly constituency of Madhya Pradesh Assembly, but the proposal must be from the relevant assembly. If the candidate is a voter of another assembly constituency, he/she is required to submit a true copy of the voter list details of the concerned assembly. Maximum 4 (1+4) persons can be present with the candidate at the time of nomination. A candidate can file maximum 4 nomination papers. The candidate can submit nomination papers from maximum two seats.

Candidates can also submit nomination online through Suvidha App

As per the instructions issued by the Commission, any candidate can also file online nomination by appearing before the offline Returning Officer or through the Suvidha App and can pay the security amount through online medium. Along with the nomination form, the candidate will have to compulsorily submit Form-2B nomination form, Form 26, affidavit and all other necessary documents including bank account information and any candidate will have to submit Form C-1 for publication of his/her criminal record. And C-4 will have to be given.

5447 polling personnel put on duty for voting

Officers and employees have been put on duty to conduct free, fair and peaceful elections in the four assemblies of the district. A total of 5447 polling personnel have been deployed for the elections in the district, out of which 1597 polling personnel have been deployed from Budhni, 1474 from Ashta, 1210 from Ichhawar and 1166 from Sehore.

129 sector officers were made

A total of 129 sector officers have been made in the district, out of which 45 sector officers have been made in Budhni, 36 in Ashta, 25 in Ichhawar and 23 in Sehore.

16 flying squads were formed

A total of 16 flying squads have been formed in the district. 05 flying squads have been formed in Budhni, 04 in Ashta, 03 in Ichhawar and 04 in Sehore.

25 SST teams were formed

A total of 25 SST teams have been formed in the district. 08 SST teams have been formed for Budhni, 06 in Ashta, 05 in Ichhawar and 06 in Sehore.

Number of voters in the district

There are a total of 997959 voters in Sehore district, out of which the number of male voters is 514865 and the number of female voters is 483076. The number of other voters is 18. Gender ratio in the district is 938 and EP ratio is 63.34. Assembly wise information about the number of voters has been given.

Budhni Assembly

There are a total of 274219 voters in Budhni Assembly, which includes 141883 male voters, 132329 female voters and 07 other voters. Similarly, gender ratio is 933, EP ratio is 64.42, PWD voters are 4556, 11669 voters are in the age group of 18 to 19 years, 3733 voters are above 80 years of age.

Ashta Assembly

There are a total of 277070 voters in Ashta Assembly, which includes 143156 male voters, 133912 female voters and 02 other voters. Similarly, gender ratio is 935, EP ratio is 6308, PWD voters are 5071, 13864 voters are in the age group of 18 to 19 years and 5182 voters are above 80 years of age.

Ichhawar Assembly

There are a total of 225144 voters in Ichhawar Assembly, which includes 117071 male voters, 108071 female voters and 02 other voters. Similarly, gender ratio is 923, EP ratio is 63.20, PWD voters are 2009, and 11332 voters are in the age group of 18 to 19 years, 3873 voters are above 80 years of age.

Sehore Assembly

There are a total of 221526 voters in Sehore Assembly, which includes 112755 male voters, 108764 female voters and 07 other voters. Similarly, gender ratio is 965, EP ratio is 62.49, PWD voters are 4630, 10430 voters are in the age group of 18 to 19 years, 3088 voters are above 80 years of age.

Age wise number of voters

Of the total 9 lakh 97 thousand 959 voters in the four assemblies of the district, there are 47295 voters of 18-19 years, 271599 of 20-29 years, and 15876 voters of more than 80 years. Out of total 274219 voters of Budhni Assembly, 11669 are of 18-19 years, 11669 are of 20-29 years.
