Published:

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday launched the 2023 Hornet 2.0 motorcycle with an OBD2-compliant engine. Its engine unit now uses multiple sensors to monitor components that can affect the emissions performance of the bike. When a malfunction is detected, a warning light will illuminate on the instrument panel.

Engine Power

The new 2023 Honda Hornet 2.0 motorcycle gets a 184.40 cc, 4 stroke, single-cylinder BS6 OBD2-compliant PGM-FI engine. This engine generates power of 12.70 kW and peak torque of 15.9 Nm. The company has optimized the intake and exhaust components of the bike for stronger acceleration and better rideability.

Bike Design Update

HMSI has also made some design and feature updates in the 2023 version of the motorcycle. It has new graphics and a heavy tank, the purpose of which is to enhance the sporty character of the bike and its presence on the road. An all-LED lighting system further adds to its styling and reliability. The split seat and placement of the key on the tank enhance rider comfort.

The sportiness is enhanced with a short muffler and 10-spoke alloy wheel design along with aluminum finished foot pegs. Meanwhile, the aerodynamic design gives better ride stability.
