Desk Report : To ensure adherence to the Model Code of Conduct and to conduct free, transparent and peaceful elections, Collector and District Election Officer Praveen Singh have given instructions for intensive search, investigation and to take strict action against illegal activities. On the instructions of Collector Praveen Singh, continuous action is being taken by officers and investigation teams of many departments. Collector Praveen Singh has given orders to confiscate domestic and foreign liquor worth Rs 1 crore 3 lakh 34 thousand in 6 cases registered in several police stations of the district under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act 2000.
District Excise Officer CL Madhukar informed that on October 20, cases were registered by the Excise Department against those selling illegal liquor and illegal liquor was confiscated by taking action against them under various sections of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act. The Excise Department team registered 9 cases at various places in the district and seized a total of 80 liters of domestic and foreign liquor and 555 kg of Mahua Lahan. The estimated market value of the seized material is Rs 67 thousand 554. Action against illegal liquor will continue.

Collector Praveen Singh has seized vehicle number HR-55-N 5384 and 393 boxes of foreign liquor of estimated value of Rs 43 lakh 01 thousand 490 under crime number 216/22 section 34(2) registered at Doraha police station of the district. Orders have been given. Under crime number 215/22 section 34(2) registered in Police Station Doraha, orders have been given to confiscate the seized vehicle number DL-01-LX-4749 and 395 boxes of foreign liquor of estimated value of Rs 50 lakh 61 thousand 600. Orders have been given to confiscate the seized vehicle number MP-37-SA-9363 and 60 liters of domestic and foreign liquor of estimated value of Rs 06 thousand under the crime number 61/22 section 34(2) registered in Budhni police station of the district.

Similarly, under the crime number 248/22 section 34(2) registered in Jawar police station of the district, orders to confiscate the seized vehicle number MP-13-CA-9269 and 334.92 liters of foreign liquor of estimated value of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand 600. Have given. Ordered to confiscate the seized vehicle number MP-05-BA-1157 and 353 liters of foreign liquor of estimated value of Rs 1 lakh 61 thousand 480 under the crime number 208/22 section 34(2) registered in Budhni police station of the district. Under the crime number 192/22 section 34(2) registered in police station Shahganj of the district, orders have been given to confiscate the seized vehicle number – MP-09-CJ-2643 and 225 liters of foreign liquor of estimated value of Rs 05 lakh 83 thousand 250.
