Bhopal, India : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that journalists play the role of a bridge between the society and the government. Journalists are the voice of the last person in the society. Journalism is a religion, for the fulfillment of which journalists risk their lives even in adverse situations like war, flood, earthquake etc. When people seek safe places in times of crisis, journalists seek solutions. State Media Center The seeds of such a tree of the future are being planted, through which infinite hopes will be realized on the branches of experiences.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the State Media Center in Malviya Nagar, Bhopal today. On this occasion, Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla and Commissioner Public Relations Manish Singh were present.
The Chief Minister announced issuing advertisements to small newspapers at an interval of one month and providing permanent preference cards to journalists above 70 years of age. Every year five women journalists will be provided fellowship to study on women’s development work. The Chief Minister said that journalists are the assurance received by the society, due to which the hearing is assured. The ink of journalists has an invaluable contribution in nation building.
The Chief Minister said that journalists and journalism are the lifeblood of democracy. Pandit Makhanlal Chaturvedi from the land of Madhya Pradesh became the pioneer of journalism. On this land, there were satirists like Shri Harishankar Parsai who worked as a mirror to the society. Self. Shri Vedpratap Vaidik worked for the prestige of Hindi. Self. Shri Prabhash Joshi gave a new language. There was a time when journalists participated in the freedom movement and worked to break the shackles of slavery. Media center will become Gurukul for journalism students
The Chief Minister said that today in the era of electronic and social media, there is a crisis of credibility at some places. Dialogue, communication and contact are the lifeblood of journalism. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the State Media Center will become the center of communication, communication of news and our contact with these journalists. This center will become a Gurukul for journalism students. This center will utilize the experiences of seniors and the energy of youth. Will also cherish the memories of the old house.

The Chief Minister said that on September 7, he had made an announcement regarding this media center in a press conference at the Chief Minister’s residence, giving it a concrete shape today, the Bhoomi Pujan work has been completed. Now the journalist brothers will enter the new courtyard in the form of this media center with the memories of the old journalist’s building. The dream of reconstructing Patrakar Bhavan will be fulfilled. Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla said in the welcome address that today journalists from all over the state have come to lay the foundation stone of the State Media Centre. Journalists work to make democracy a boon. They should get basic facilities. The Chief Minister has given the state the identity of a rapidly developing state by ending the identity of being a sick state. The Chief Minister also implemented health insurance scheme for journalists, which provided relief to many families. Public Relations Department officers will also be given the benefit of pending annual salary hike to officers and new assistant directors who have been eligible for the charge of higher posts for a long time.
Honor fund for senior journalists
At the foundation stone laying ceremony of the State Media Center today, the Chief Minister presented increased honorarium to 10 senior journalists of the state as a token. It is noteworthy that instead of Rs 10,000 per month, an amount of Rs 20,000 is now being paid by the Public Relations Department under the Samman Nidhi. The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of the State Media Center in the Patrakar Bhawan complex with rituals and ceremonies. He also unveiled the stone plaque. Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism University and Institute, in collaboration with the Public Relations Department, will give fellowship to 5 women journalists every year to study on women’s development and welfare work in Madhya Pradesh.

How will the State Media Center be?
State Media Center will be constructed in Bhopal at a cost of Rs 28 crore. This will be a media center with all facilities. The construction agency in this center is Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation. The target is to complete the construction in the next two years. Vehicle parking, drivers room, maintenance room, bank, shops and dispensary will be constructed on the lower ground floor in a three-storey building covering a total of 66 thousand 981 square feet. There will be exhibition hall, art gallery, mini auditorium, press conference room, administrative room, reception room, corridor, banquet hall, badminton court, restaurant, terrace garden on the ground floor. There will be a library, press conference hall, multi media room, lounge, gymnasium and indoor game hall on the first floor. There will be open terraces, working spaces, cabin mini meeting rooms, cubicle work stations on the second floor. On the third floor, there will be work space for journalists, office space for news and media.
